Niantic has announced the first Community Day in Wizards Unite. There wasn’t much information on it, but some assumptions can already be made based on the events in Pokémon GO.
What is a Community Day? Such an event has been happening in Pokémon GO every month for over a year. A special Pokémon appears more frequently, and you can benefit from bonuses. In Pokémon GO, the event always lasts for 3 hours.
Such an event is now coming to Wizards Unite as well. How exactly the Community Day will unfold here is still unknown. We are making some assumptions about what might await us.
First Community Day in Wizards Unite
What has Niantic announced? So far, the developers have only stated that a Community Day will take place. What exactly will happen there is not yet known. However, the event will take place on July 20th, a Saturday.
What could await us? Players suspect that special collectible items will appear more frequently over a short period of time. This could be similar to the last event with the items from the Forbidden Forest.
During that event, these items appeared significantly more often, and anyone who played a bit could fill the entire page in the registry.
Here is where the implementation becomes tricky: The highlight of every Community Day in Pokémon GO is the Shinies, which are Pokémon that have a different color and are therefore particularly rare.
Such a thing doesn’t actually exist in Wizards Unite. It remains to be seen whether or how the developers will implement this point.
What kind of bonuses could await us? In Pokémon GO, the bonuses rotate every month. In Wizards Unite, you might find more spell energy or receive experience points faster.
Another possible bonus could be the reduction of the distance for Portkeys. This is regularly done in Pokémon GO with eggs as well.
When can we know more? The Community Day is already in 9 days. It shouldn’t take long for Niantic to announce more information.
What do you think? What could await us at the 1st Community Day?
