The PlayStation 4 will soon receive the new firmware 7.00. Some players can already test the beta version. What are the new features?
How can you get firmware 7.00? Currently, only selected users have access to the new firmware. These players can invite 19 more friends to join. So if you have such an invitation, you can bring in additional testers.
The general public will, therefore, be excluded for now, and the new firmware will still be tested.
Firmware 7.00 – What’s inside?
This fan request has been fulfilled: Many PS4 players have complained about the small party size on the console. Until now, you could be in a party with 8 participants and talk.
Now the group size is increased to 16. So those playing with many friends can now talk in larger parties.

This feature was already included in a previous test firmware but was ultimately removed along with the test version. Now there is another attempt.
Fewer restarts required: What will also please many players is fewer restarts. If the PS4 needs to perform minor system updates, it will not restart afterwards, but it should run in the background.
However, this probably only applies to minor updates. Larger versions will still involve a restart.
You can now change the picture: A HDR option also comes with the new firmware. As players report on Reddit , you can now adjust your picture to be brighter or darker step by step.
This feature has also been requested by some players, as it allows them to better adjust the picture to their preferences.

When will the update be available for all players? Sony has not announced that yet. First, they must wait for the testers’ feedback.
