Firefall confuses its few remaining players. Because time and again, the unfortunate shooter MMO completely disappears, only to reappear shortly after, without anyone from the development team saying anything about it.
According to Schrödinger’s famous thought experiment, a cat in a box can be both dead and alive at the same time under certain conditions, as long as the situation is not investigated further. A paradoxical situation that curiously also somehow applies to the MMO shooter Firefall. Because the game should actually have long been offline due to its disastrous business situation with the developer Red5 and the announcements from former founder Mark Kerns, yet it somehow continues to run.
Moreover, the game apparently also completely disappears from time to time without any announcement, only to go back online shortly after, without uttering a single word about it. According to the site MassivelyOP, this happened twice last week alone(!) According to this, however, the players of Firefall are slowly getting uneasy. Because who knows, maybe the next complete outage will really be the last, and Firefall will finally remain in a dead cat state (and yes, “cat state” is a technical term from quantum physics!).
What do you think of the curious situation at Firefall, and are you perhaps still playing the game? Would you also wish for an end with horror instead of the current horror without end? Let us know in the comments!
