The people of Kul Tiras are really robust – the new human models are bulkier. More variety in WoW!
In the last livestream, Game Director Ion Hazzikostas talked about Allied Races from World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. He casually confirmed the race of Kul Tiras as an Allied Race that will likely join the Alliance. Those thinking “more humans, do we need that?”, should consider that the people of Kul Tiras have some very special character models.
It seems that the harvests in Kul Tiras are going well and the fishing is thriving, as the ladies and gentlemen from Kul Tiras are noticeably bulkier than their mainland allies. Data miners on wowhead have already extracted many customization options, such as different skin tones, hairstyles, and beards from the game files.
It is likely that the people of Kul Tiras will not become an Allied Race right at the launch of Battle for Azeroth. Because at the start of the expansion, only one Allied Race will be added to the Alliance – the announced Dark Iron Dwarves.
All we can do is hope that the thinner humans will also be part of the race of Kul Tiras and available as options.
Cortyn says: Especially role players have been waiting for new body models for the humans for ages. It’s good that Blizzard is slowly but surely offering more options to enable fuller humans in World of Warcraft. I hope that the opposite – significantly thinner humans – will also be an option. Then finally, the dream of my scrawny mage who can’t climb three steps without gasping for air could come true…
What do you think about the “bulkier” human models? A good thing for more variety in Azeroth? Or is it an unnecessary novelty that hardly anyone wanted?
Will the new parrot mount be able to handle one of those Kul Tiran?
