In Diablo 3 the start date, time and specific content of Season 17 are finally known. It’s starting soon: On May 17 at 5:00 PM on PC it’s happening. Players on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will begin their hunt in Season 17 on May 18 at 2 AM.
When does Season 17 come? Finally, a release date for Season 17 is known. It will arrive on May 17, 2019 on the servers of Diablo 3. That’s a Friday:
- In Europe, it will start on May 17, at 5:00 PM German time (5 PM CEST) – this applies to PC.
- For players on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, the season starts on May 18 at 2:00 AM German time – this applies regardless of the region.
What are the contents of Season 17? Season 17 brings a lot of new features and loot. Highlights include:
- Three new Torment levels that will offer you new challenges: Torment 14, 15, and 16
- New portals in Kanai’s Cube
- New buffs for ancient items
- All seasonal heroes receive the set bonus from Legacy of Nightmares
- New and old achievements, including Speed Demon for speedrunners
- You can also obtain cosmetic items from past seasons for the first time again
- Anyone who completes all 9 chapters will receive a new item, the “Galactic Wings”
- There are new class sets in “Haedrig’s Gift”
This promised feature will not come: Originally, it was also planned that there would be additional loot chest slots – but Blizzard has scrapped that. They caused problems on the test server.
Why are players so excited about Season 17? The new Torment levels are very well received by the fans of Diablo 3. Finally, as many fans say, there’s movement again in Blizzard’s monster slayer.
