Farming transmog sets will soon be easier in World of Warcraft. Blizzard is nerfing the old raids so that you can also tackle them solo.
The most beautiful sets in World of Warcraft are among the numerous T-sets that come from now outdated content. Especially in Legion, there were some great sets, but obtaining them can be difficult – especially alone. With Patch 9.1.5, Blizzard aims to improve this and makes many mechanics possible to handle solo.
What is the problem? Raids like “The Nighthold” or “Antorus, the Burning Throne” contain some of the most beautiful sets ever seen in World of Warcraft. Particularly at the highest difficulty level, Mythic, these sets are truly eye-catching.
However, even though WoW is already two expansions into the future, many of the old fights are still hardly or not at all manageable solo – or only for certain classes. Blizzard is now diligently addressing this and removing some mechanics when you venture into the raids alone.
What will change? With Patch 9.1.5, Blizzard is making significant tuning changes to the old raid “Antorus, the Burning Throne.” A total of 3 bosses are heavily nerfed when you venture into the old raid alone.
- Imonar the Soulhunter: Imonar will no longer use sleep canisters when the player is solo and has a pet. This allows pet classes (Warlocks, Hunters, Death Knights) to fully utilize their specialization without being put to sleep until death.
- The Circle of Shivarra: When fighting the Shivarra alone, they no longer protect themselves with a shield that reduces damage by 99% as long as the two active Shivarra are too close together.
- Aggramar: Aggramar’s knockback has been significantly reduced. Instead of tossing players to their certain death, solo players are now only knocked back about 15 meters and should be able to survive the fight unscathed – at least if they deal enough damage quickly enough to skip the other mechanics.
Adjustments have also been made in other raids. It has been discovered that the fight against Gul’dan on Mythic difficulty is somewhat easier. The “Shadowy Gaze” of the harmful shadow demons no longer stuns players when they face Gul’dan alone. Previously, this could mean endless stuns from which one could not escape.
What problems still remain? A few problems persist, especially in Antorus. The fight for the essence of Eonar is still extremely difficult on Mythic difficulty and is nearly impossible to handle solo as a non-mobile class. Adjustments are still necessary here to ensure that the entire raid can truly be completed solo.
However, the PTR is not yet complete. It is still possible that Blizzard will also make some tuning adjustments to bosses like the essence of Eonar so that this fight can also be managed solo by all classes.
When will Patch 9.1.5 be released? A specific release date for the WoW update has not yet been announced. Realistic estimates suggest a release around mid-October, provided no major issues arise before then. As soon as there is a definitive date, we will of course report on it.
