In Destiny 2, the final stage of the Empyrean Foundation has been unlocked. Now you need to provide quite a bit of Fractaline.
This is new: Until this afternoon, February 19, the Guardians had to donate a whopping 6 billion Fractaline for the penultimate event stage. That has now been accomplished and the next, and thus final stage has started.
While many players expected to donate 7,777,777,777 Fractaline, the required amount is actually significantly higher now.
Almost 10 billion Fractaline for the final stage
What is now required? For the final stage, you need to donate a total of 9,777,777,000 Fractaline. That’s quite a hefty amount, and it will likely take several days for the diligent Guardians to raise this sum.
How are the Guardians reacting to this number? They are annoyed that it is actually 9 billion and not the intended 7 billion Fractaline. After all, July 7 is Bungie Day, and the developers like to include 7 in such events. It would have fit well.
Apparently, 7 billion was too little for Bungie, which is why they added another 2 billion on top.
Guardians are also looking forward to the end of the donation marathon. After all, they want to finally know what happens after the final donation.
This is interesting: At the beginning of February, at the start of the large donation marathon, some Guardians calculated what probably needs to be donated at stage 7. There, they estimated 5.2 billion Fractaline.
Now it is clear that they had significantly underestimated it. Bungie is now demanding almost double that amount from you.
How is the willingness to donate developing? In the last hours and days, larger sums have been donated by the Guardians. Apparently, they want to complete the Empyrean Foundation now.
Why donations have increased so much in the last few days will be explained in this article.
Finally, Destiny surprised with a really cool cinematic:
