Players of Final Fantasy XIV create in the character creator of Soul Calibur 6 the director of FFXIV Naoki Yoshida. They let him compete against other developers and characters from his own MMORPG.
What does FFXIV have to do with Soul Calibur 6? The latest game from the popular beat ’em up series Soul Calibur features a detailed character creator that allows players to make their own fighters and let them compete against other creations. Some fans of FFXIV have used this feature to recreate various characters from the MMORPG – even the director of FFXIV Naoki Yoshida.
The Japanese Twitter user @CisnaBalandor had the director compete against other MMORPG developers, such as the head of Phantasy Star Online 2 Satoshi Sakai. In this, Yoshida comes out on the losing end.
He also loses against the popular NPC from Final Fantasy XIV Haurchefant Greystone.
However, against the recreated Warrior of Light, who in FFXIV represents the players, Naoki Yoshida wins by a large margin.
