The release date for Content Patch 4.25 of Final Fantasy XIV is set: on March 13, players will be able to enter the Forbidden Land of Eureka. Additionally, fan-favorite Hildibrand returns.
And as a bonus, there is the continuation of the quest line about the amusing adventures of the popular character Hildibrand.
Eureka brings along the relic weapons and armor
Fans of the Final Fantasy series will find the name Eureka quite familiar. In FFIII, the Forbidden Land of Eureka was an optional dungeon where long ago the strongest weapons and spells were sealed away, as they were far too powerful.
This concept is now being brought to FFXIV by the development team. With the launch of the forbidden land, the first relic quest of Stormblood also goes live.
The unique aspect is: Unlike the Zeta and Anima quests, players will be able to enhance not only their weapons but also job-specific armor in Eureka.
However, Eureka operates drastically differently from all other content in Final Fantasy XIV.
Strong elemental currents prevail on the island: Normal levels do not have much effect there.
Instead, heroes must collect elemental EXP and distribute it on the special “Magia Board” in such a way that they can optimally exploit the elemental strengths and weaknesses of their opponents.
