The long-awaited collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XV is coming in mid-April. It will bring a very special mount for FFXIV players.
What’s new? Since December, a crossover event has been ongoing in FFXV, where players can fight against the primal Garuda from FFXIV. However, there was a long silence regarding the FFXIV side of the event, and many fans began to doubt that it would ever come.
But during the Producer’s Letter streamed at the Fan Festival in Paris, producer Yoshida announced that the event will also be available for players in Final Fantasy XIV in mid-April.
What will the event be about? In the trailer, you see the protagonist of Final Fantasy XV, Noctis, stranded with his car in Eorzea. There, he meets the player character and fights alongside them against various foes from the FFXV universe.
There will also likely be a special fight against Garuda, similar to the event in FFXV. For this, players must have reached level 50 and completed the main scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon.”
What rewards are there? Not much is known yet about what rewards will be available at the event, but producer Yoshida revealed a very special mount that will be obtainable.
Players will be able to receive Noctis’s car, the Regalia. It will be the first mount with 4 seats for a party, and its flight animation will look just like in FFXV. It will transform into a flying car.
Additionally, Yoshida stated that each race will have a different animation when driving the car. A lot of effort has been put into the event.
