In Final Fantasy XIV, the next patch 3.1 brings a lot of news for the individual game systems. The move of the European servers to their own data center is also coming soon.
Important for European players: In October it is finally supposed to happen, then there will be a forced break of three to five days and your characters will then wake up in Europe again. Because the EU servers are really supposed to move to a data center in Europe.
The patch 3.1 is supposed to come “soon” and brings a lot of news and changes, Dualshockers summarized the latest producer letter, which was the twenty-fourth of this “Live Producer Letter”, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the revival of Final Fantasy XIV. And patch 3.1 will be packed.
So it brings:
- a new chapter of the main quest
- a new side quest line, set in a school – the quest line is called Saint Endalim Scholasticate
- a new Beast Tribe quest with the Vanu Vanu
- two new dungeons: Saint Mocianne Arboretum and a hard mode for Pharos Sirius
- a 24-player raid, based on the Crystal Tower – it is supposed to have a similar loot system as in World of Darkness – the raid is set in the airship Void Ark (our title image shows that)
- Players will be able to explore islands with their airships – this will be a new, large system
- a new Primae battle is also planned
- a new upgrade system for the weapons, similar to the relic weapons
- both housing and the guild system will receive a number of smaller improvements
- the Gold Saucer will get a fresh attraction, a battle mode between minions – “Lord of Vermillion” is the latest Gold Saucer attraction
- new Triple Triad cards will be introduced, as well as NPCs that can be challenged
- the challenge log will receive a new category for the Gold Saucer
- new crafting recipes
This looks like a typical FF-14 patch again: something of everything and plenty of it. In the coming weeks, the individual aspects of the patch will surely be highlighted again.
