In Final Fantasy XIV is currently running the Easter event “The Wonder Egg Hunt” and it also brings tricky puzzles. We have the answers for you.
What kind of event is this? The Wonder Egg Hunt is the Easter event of FFXIV. As with the other seasonal events, you need to complete a quest series that tells a short cute story and rewards you for it.
The Wonder Egg Hunt ends on April 22.
How does the quest work? You can accept the quest “Mysterious Mischief” for the Wonder Egg Hunt from the NPC Jihli Aliapoh in Old Gridania (X: 10.2 / Y: 9.4). To do this, you must have reached at least Level 15.
Follow the instructions in the quest log and you will receive the task to find a special egg with the help of a map. You can find it by saying the password “Wonder Egg” in the /say chat at the following coordinates:
- New Gridania X: 11.7 / Y: 13.5 – In Miounne’s Witch’s Hut
Then return to Nonotta with your egg and you will receive the second part of the quest from Jihli. It proceeds exactly like the first one and you will find the second egg as follows:
- Deep Woods X: 27.2 / Y: 20.8 – At the NPC Gabineaux
What rewards are there? For completing the quest series, you will receive the Spriggan outfit.
During the event, there are egg decorations for your houses, apartments, and rooms from the NPC Dreamer in Old Gridania (X: 10.6 / Y: 8.7).

Can I play the event without the monthly subscription? This is currently indeed possible. Final Fantasy XIV is currently running two promotions that allow both veterans and new players to participate in the events without a subscription.
- FFXIV Free with Twitch Prime: Until May 3, all owners of Twitch Prime can get the base version of FFXIV for free for PC. This also includes 30 days of playtime.
- The Free Login Campaign: Players who already own FFXIV now have the opportunity to play the MMORPG without a subscription for a week. The campaign started on April 8 and runs until June 17. So if you’re currently on a break but really want the outfit from the Easter event, you can do it now.
Attention: However, it is recommended not to jump directly into the campaign. On April 16, FFXIV will start the crossover event with FFXV, where you can earn Noctis’s outfit and the stylish Regalia mount as rewards.
