Final Fantasy XIV is known for incorporating various beautiful real-world festivals into the game. Alongside Halloween and Valentine’s Day, there’s of course Christmas. The festival of joy is known here as the “Starlight Festival”.
While in the real world Santa Claus, the Christkind, Father Frost or someone else delivers gifts, Final Fantasy XIV presents a generous flying bear!
Buzz, buzz, buzz, I am the Christmas bear!
In Final Fantasy, a genuine bear with a Christmas hat drops by. Of course, the bear can fly and throw gifts around. The presents then explode in a shower of glitter. That’s what a successful festival should look like!
The best thing about the flying Christmas bear is that he is a mount! You get the creature when you log into Final Fantasy XIV between December 15th and 31st and find yourself in Alt-Gridania at Amh Garanjy in Mih Khettos Amphitheater.
There, you will receive a special quest and at the end, you’ll get rewards like the flying Starlight Bear, festive housing decorations, hearty buff food, and Christmas music for your orchestrion.
