Images of the upcoming patch 2.55, “Before the Fall” for the fantasy MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV have surfaced.
Patch 2.55, the next FFXIV patch, will mark the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Much is already known about the last patch in Final Fantasy XIV before Heavensward. Now there are first screenshots that show the direction in which the story will develop. Apparently, players will get a strong taste of the action in the expansion of Final Fantasy XIV.
Dragons are attacking the magical barrier that protects the city of Ishgard. It is expected that the patch will end with a cliffhanger that will joyfully drive fans into the arms of the expansion.
The patch is set to release on March 31. Those who want to enjoy the next cinematic should hurry: It is expected for April 11 and should require knowledge of the full story by then.
