The fantasy MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV now has two new entries in the Guinness Book of Records, with the overall franchise Final Fantasy contributing a third success.
Currently, the fan festival is taking place in Frankfurt. This is a big deal for Final Fantasy XIV with worldwide attention. The team has already introduced a new job Samurai and its new trailer.
These 3 records are now held by Final Fantasy in the Guinness Book of Records
Frankfurt was also the right place to announce that they have landed with 3 entries in the Guinness Book of Records:
- The first record is for the longest end credits in an MMORPG. They last 98 minutes because all players from 1.0 were included in the credit roll.
- The second record is for the most original music pieces in a video game. There are 384 “Original Compositions” in Final Fantasy XIV.
- The third award goes to Square Enix as a whole for the “Final Fantasy” franchise. It is now officially the most prominent role-playing series of all time, with 87 games for the franchise.
These are actually not the only records that Final Fantasy holds. For a long time, the franchise has also held this record:
- Final Fantasy XI was the first game to allow players to play together across multiple platforms (Xbox 360, PS2, PC).
