In Final Fantasy XIV starts a new “Mog Mog Collection” event, bringing many rewards. One of the main prizes is the Falcon, a mount that players could obtain for the last time 3 years ago.
About this mount: The Falcon is a small airship designed for one person and manufactured by the Garlond Ironworks. Originally, it was only available for a short time and only for players who had subscribed for 90 days between July 1, 2017, and September 30, 2017.
After that, the mount disappeared for a long time. It returned briefly 2 years later on September 30, 2019, along with a previous “Mog Mog Collection” event. At that time, players could earn the mount by completing certain content and collecting Uncommon Allagan Mythology Stones.
After the event, there were 3 years of silence regarding the mount, but starting next week, the Falcon will again be obtainable.
How to get the mount: The upcoming Mog Mog Collection follows the same rules as the previous one. From December 12, the traveling Mogrils in the 3 starting cities will provide new rewards.
The Falcon Key is an item that you can exchange from the Mogrils starting next Monday for 50 Allagan Creation Stones. The stones are available in the following content:
- The content “Dun Scaith” and “Castrum Meridianum – Praetorium”: 7 stones per run
- The 24-man raid “The City of Tears”: 5 stones per run
- PvP maps “Hidden Gorge”, “Onsal Hakair”, “Field of Glory”, “Sharlayan” and “Outer Ruins”: 3 or 5 stones per run
- Dungeons “Halatali (hard)”, “Brullvox’s Den (hard)” and “Castrum Meridianum – Outskirts”: 4 stones each per run
- Content “The Nothing Arche”, “Porta Decumana”, “Fortress Dzemael”, “Sager’s Cry” and “Sunken Temple of Qarn”: 3 stones each per run
- Trials “Duel on the Kugane Bridge”, “Revenge in the Ruins” and “Duel on the Great Bridge”: 3 stones each per fight.
The event is mainly aimed at new players in FFXIV and offers them a simple option to acquire cool cosmetic items. All the content where the special event currency can be farmed does not require characters at the highest level.
How long does the event last? If you want to farm the mount, there is no rush. The current “Mog Mog Collection” event ends with the start of Patch 6.3. Although the update does not have a release date yet, it was already mentioned in the last producer stream that it will not be released until next year.
You still have until about early January to get the Falcon, and can farm the mount at your leisure while completing your daily random content.
There are also the following: Aside from the Falcon, especially new FFXIV players can secure many cosmetic items. The “grand prize” is a Namazuo scarf (see image), which costs 100 stones. It does not have any status values or other bonuses, but it is a unique item that cannot be found anywhere else.
