In the new expansion of Final Fantasy XIV, there will be new classes that you can play in the MMORPG. MeinMMO shows you which 3 new jobs they are and what they can do.
Final Fantasy XIV fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Dawntrail. The expansion is set to be released sometime in summer 2024. A precise date has not yet been established. However, what is certain is that the DLC will introduce 3 new classes (referred to as jobs in-game). MeinMMO lists what we know so far about the classes.
The Viper as a new class: This is how it plays
What is the Viper? The Viper is a DPS melee character that deals damage over time. It shares its equipment with the Ninja class. Besides quick strikes with dual swords, it also delivers slower attacks with the combined two-handed weapon.
The primary attribute for the Viper is Dexterity. This will make the class’s attacks even stronger. As a DPS class, stats like Critical Hit, Determination, Direct Hit, and Speed should also be focused on.
How do I get the Viper? You need to reach level 80 with one of your jobs to unlock the questline for the Viper. The quest will be found somewhere in Ul’dah. There is no associated class with it.

The Pictomancer is a colorful magician
What is the Pictomancer? Unlike the Viper, the Pictomancer specializes in ranged combat. It is a DPS mage that fights with vibrant colors. Additionally, it has some supportive spells to help the group. However, unlike other mages, it cannot resurrect dead group members.
The Pictomancer shares its equipment with other DPS mages. It wields a brush to cast its spells. Like all other mages, its strength is based on the Intelligence attribute.
How do I unlock the Pictomancer? To unlock the Pictomancer, you need to complete a questline in Gridania. Of course, like with the Viper, you also need to have a class at level 80.

The Beastmaster as a limited job: This is how it works
What is the Beastmaster? The Beastmaster is a limited job like the Blue Mage. This means that it can almost exclusively be used for solo content and is not equated with other jobs. Compared to the other classes, it is much stronger, which is why it is excluded from PvP and most other content. Additionally, it has a lower maximum level than all other jobs.
However, the limited jobs have their own questlines. The task of the Beastmaster may involve taming multiple monsters and using them in combat.
How do I unlock the Beastmaster? So far, the least is known about the Beastmaster compared to all jobs. Therefore, we do not yet know where the Beastmaster will be unlocked. Once we get this information, we will let you know here.
We only know that, unlike the Viper and the Pictomancer, it will be introduced later in the game. The other two jobs will be available directly with the release of Dawntrail.
