In the fantasy MMO Final Fantasy XIV, producer Naoki Yoshida has now fueled speculation about the new jobs with some cryptic hints.
It has been known for some time that new jobs will be introduced with 3.0, which are the prestige classes in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Until the weekend, this was still in the future, as no one knew when the expansion would come. That has now changed, they are talking about spring 2015, suddenly it is current. Which classes are coming now? They want to keep that under wraps for a little longer – actually.

But now Naoki Yoshida, the producer and mastermind, responded to the question of what is coming and whether he could give a hint, saying that he would wear a Batman T-shirt for the announcement of the new jobs. In particular, he likes the Batman from Christopher Nolan’s vision. Now Batman is also known as the “Dark Knight,” which was also the title of the second part of the movie trilogy (the one with the crazy Joker).
Why is this interesting? Well, the “Dark Knight” has often been a playable class in the Final Fantasy universe. It is a type of “Anti-Paladin” that sacrifices health points to hit harder, wears heavy armor, and causes serious damage. And most importantly: He is incredibly cool in every game. Just like Batman.
