The fantasy MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV says goodbye with an event from Final Fantasy XI and looks even better thanks to new DirectX 11 settings.
Final Fantasy XI is slowly winding down, having received its last content patches. The game debuted in 2002 on the Playstation 2 in Japan, then came to Europe on PC in September 2004, has held up well over the years, but is now at the end of its journey.
Final Fantasy XIV honors its older brother with an event series: “Rhapsody Vana’diel – Memories of Another World.” The event runs until New Year’s Eve 2015. The reporter Remumu in Limsa Lominsa kicks off the event where players meet the protagonist of the last FFXI chapter, Iroha. As a reward, there is cosmetic armor at the end.
Final Fantasy XIV even prettier thanks to “Glare” effect
With the Patch 3.1 came, among many other things a new graphics option to Final Fantasy XIV: A glare effect can be activated in the graphics settings. This is quite subtle and you really notice the difference only in water-rich areas.
