In Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.5 is coming soon.
With “The Far Edge of Fate”, Part 1, Square Enix aims to usher in the MMORPG year 2017. The first part of the patch will be released on January 17. The second part is scheduled for March and will set the stage for “Stormblood”, the new expansion, which will be released on June 20.
This is how the first months of 2017 will look for Final Fantasy XIV
But first, let’s talk about January. Far Edge of Fate brings amongst other things:
- New features for the “Photo” mode, where you can pose for pretty pictures
- New housing items
- And a “Collaboration” with Garo, a well-known TV franchise in Japan
- 3.5 will also temporarily close the “Exploratory Missions”, which will be completely revamped and return later
- Additionally, a cross-realm group finder is planned
There is also the “normal content” that comes with every patch: Dungeons and Quests.
By the way, on December 31 at 4 PM our time, “Heavensward”, the New Year’s event, starts. It will run until January 16 at 3:59 PM, just before Patch 3.5 kicks off.
