Stormblood is set to be released on June 20: The story in this MMORPG is considered by many players to be one of the best in the genre. The 7 “key figures” in Stormblood have now been introduced. Some are familiar faces, while others are new. We quote Square Enix:
Lyse
The primary goal of the self-confident fistfighter is the liberation of her homeland Ala Mhigo, and she is unafraid to put herself in danger for it. She is a true daredevil who usually acts first and thinks later. But is that enough to save her homeland?
Gosetsu
A doman samurai from the far eastern continent of Othard. He served the lords of his land loyally until the Garlean invaders arrived 25 years ago and mercilessly crushed any resistance. Yet Gosetsu has not forgotten his fight for freedom for a moment. In the underground, he is laying the groundwork for the liberation of his homeland, and the Doman people know that the formidable swordsman, known throughout the land for his bravery and generosity, will never give up on them.
Yugiri
A ninja in the service of the Doman ruling house. When the recent uprising against the Garleans failed, she was instructed by her lord to rescue as many Doman people as possible to Eorzea. Yugiri is filled with a sense of duty. She acts thoughtfully and calmly, yet is also full of passion.
Hien
The rightful heir to the throne of Doma. When he could no longer bear to witness the oppression of his people by the Garleans, he led an uprising, which, even with battle-hardened allies like Gosetsu and Yugiri by his side, ended in defeat. Hien has been missing ever since.
Zenos yae Galvus
The commander of the XII Legion of the Garlean Empire and son of the current emperor. He loves to fight like no other and is always found at the forefront. His ruthlessness shows no mercy towards opponents or followers. During the successful suppression of the revolt in Doma, Zenos yae Galvus took a liking to the katana found there and now wields such a weapon himself.
Yotsuyu
The ruthless governor of the Doma occupied by the Garleans. Her captivating beauty cannot disguise her pitch-black heart. She deeply hates the Doman people and tyrannizes them with cruel arbitrariness, ostensibly to eradicate harmful subjects. Her burning hatred seems to be fueled by a dark past…
Fordola
A young Mhigitin in the service of the Garleans, born and trained under Garlean occupation. Hated by the Mhigiten as a traitor, scorned by the Garleans as a savage, she tries by all means to carve out a path to greater recognition for herself and her comrades.
