For MMORPG fans, there is a great opportunity to acquire one of the best paid MMORPGs. Final Fantasy XIV and the expansion Heavensward are available together for €12.50.
Final Fantasy XIV is one of the last paid MMORPGs in a sea of free-to-play offerings. As the US site Polygon reports, there is currently a deal at “Humble Bundle” to get the top MMORPG and the Heavensward expansion at a low price:
- The base game Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is currently €4.99 instead of €9.99
- The Heavensward expansion is available for €7.49 instead of the usual €14.99.
Both offers are valid for PC. Subscribers at Humble Bundle save an additional 10%.
This is an opportunity to dive into the MMORPG now. In June, the “Stormblood” expansion will release the next chapter of the MMORPG.
Final Fantasy XIV still requires a subscription to play, even though the time limitation of the “Trial version” of FF14 has recently been lifted.
Final Fantasy XIV – One of the Best Current MMORPGs

Final Fantasy XIV is definitely worth recommending from our point of view. Especially fans of “classic MMORPGs” should feel right at home here. Those looking for alternatives to “early World of Warcraft” could find happiness here. A certain “grind resistance” is recommended.
FF14 relies on a tab-targeting system, the battles are strategic. What seems a bit sluggish at first becomes a challenging dance at higher levels with numerous abilities, cooldowns, buffs and debuffs, as well as area abilities.
Impressive is the detailed world of Final Fantasy. There are numerous references to the single-player games of the past in Eorzea. An epic story unfolds before the player: The characters he meets in the world accompany him for hours and days, some even for years. The story is constantly evolving. Square Enix’s patch policy is considered exemplary.
Strengths of Final Fantasy XIV include an interesting class system, where players can take on different roles. The game outside of quests and battles is also excellently equipped: Crafting is regarded as exemplary in the MMORPG sector. Mini-games like Triple Triad, a card game, provide additional variety.
