The MMO Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn finally has a date for the Update 2.4. In a week’s time, it will be here. With the patch, a cash shop will also be introduced.
The news about Final Fantasy is overwhelming, and now a date for patch 2.4 is finally known: it’s set for October 28th. Meanwhile, it’s also revealed which class you need to level up alongside the rogue to unlock the ninja. It will be the pugilist, the melee fighter, who must reach level 15. Ninjas will wear monk gear (which is the job that a pugilist will later take on) and will be based on dexterity.
There will be a lot of commotion as usual about the news that with 2.4 a cash shop will also enter the game. According to statements from producer Naoki Yoshida, this will only be about cosmetic items, so-called “vanity items.” It should be 100% NOT Pay2Win. Until recently, it was still possible to purchase items via a shop on the homepage to change the character’s gender, for example. This is now also coming to this cash shop – along with minions and mounts.

With 2.5 comes Party Island, Chocobo Racing, and Triple Triads
There was also a preview of 2.5, introducing “Gold Saucer” as party island. Traditionally, this is a place in Final Fantasy for lively mini-games. Thus, 2.5 will also bring Chocobo racing into the fantasy MMO, as well as “Triple Triads,” the popular card game.
