Final Fantasy 14 already has a housing system, but not everyone can afford a house. Therefore, the developers introduced the apartment system as an alternative with the upcoming update 3.4.
Those who cannot or do not want to afford their own house will instead move into affordable apartment homes. This is how it will soon be in Final Fantasy 14, as the upcoming update 3.4 will introduce brand new apartments in the Square Enix Final Fantasy MMORPG for the first time.
Apartments for everyone!
To ensure that everyone gets an apartment, the apartments are divided into large building complexes, each containing 90 apartments. In them, we can set up an aquarium, among other things, and let our caught fish swim in it. Also cool: The orchestrion system allows us to create a music playlist and play it either randomly or in a loop.
Whoever wants to buy an apartment must have 500,000 Gil and have reached at least level 50 with one class. Additionally, we must be at least “Second Lieutenant” in the “Maelstrom,” the “Order of the Twin Adder,” or the “Immortal Flames.”

Patch 3.4 not only brings new housing options. Various storylines of Final Fantasy 14 will also continue with the update. Fans of the quirky detective Hildibrand will be fully satisfied, as the master detective receives a new case.
There is also a criminal storyline at the St. Endalim Theological Institute. There, we have to investigate the disappearance of students at this institution. Patch 3.4 will be released on September 27, 2016.
