For Final Fantasy 14, Patch 3.56 is live. This officially marks the end of the story of the current expansion Heavensward. In addition to the story finale, there are also new equipment and better loot.
Since the release of Heavensward, the first expansion of Final Fantasy 14, the story of the addon has been continued with each patch. But every story must come to an end, and with the final patch 3.56, the storyline of Heavensward will reach its deserved conclusion.
For that, Stormblood will be available as the newest addon starting June 20, 2017 and will continue where Heavensward left off.
FF14 – Update 3.56 – New Items and Better Loot
The story finale of Heavensward starts with the quest “Unheard Advice” from Alisaie in Sunstone. If you prefer raiding, you will be pleased. Alexander the Creator now has two treasure chests in the epic mode, and there are no longer any weekly restrictions for Alexander’s chests.
Also cool: you can now enter all sections of the instance via the Group Finder and don’t have to grind through it each time.
If you still don’t have enough items, you can acquire further equipment from a new vendor in Gold Saucer. This will be styled after the television series “Garo”.
PvP fans will be excited about the start of the fourth season of battles against other players. In addition to the new features mentioned here, there were various bug fixes, problem resolutions, and minor adjustments. For example, there was an increase in the drop rate for the “Demon Lanner Whistle”. You can find the complete patch notes for update 5.56 and the end of Heavensward in the references provided.
