Final Fantasy 14 is currently on a large tour at various fan festivals. In London, further details about the expansion “Heavensward” were presented.
Although the servers are down for Final Fantasy XIV today, that doesn’t stop the flow of information. Over the weekend, a fan festival took place in London. After there was one the weekend before in Las Vegas. In Vegas, a new job was teased while hinting at Batman, the “Dark Knight”; this time, Naoki Yoshida talked about the next job referring to James Bond and made typical revolver gestures. Fans believe it could lead to a “Gunner” class with firearms. More details will be revealed at the next fan festival in Tokyo, which is set to take place in December.
Last time with the Dark Knight, fans were right, and it will indeed be a new job. This time without a base class and as a type of two-handed tank with heavy armor and dark abilities.
Furthermore, at the fan festival, the planned data center in Europe was addressed, as a new server location for the EU servers. This is definitely going to happen. Additionally, Yoshida made efforts to alleviate fans’ concerns regarding the cash shop. Here, only pets, mounts, or optional services should be offered, nothing that can affect gameplay.
