The beta of Street Fighter 6 has started and allows fans to create their own fighters. However, it quickly became clear that the character creator offers players much more freedom than they expected.
This is Street Fighter 6: The latest game in the popular beat-’em-up series Street Fighter mixes gameplay with new modes and an open world. For example, players will be able to navigate a city with their created character and fight their way to the top of street fighters or play the story.
The first beta test started on Friday, October 7, and runs until Monday, October 10. Fans of the series can try many features of the upcoming fighting game over the weekend. One of them is the character editor, which is currently causing much amusement in parts of the gaming community (header image by @ViewtifulJimm).

“No one told me Street Fighter 6 is a horror game”
This is what players are doing: The developer of Street Fighter 6, Capcom, has frequently released games with a character editor in the past. The most famous example would be Monster Hunter: World, which has sold excellently.
But none was as detailed and versatile as the creator of Street Fighter 6. Just a few hours after the beta launch, the first images of completely crazy-looking characters circulated on the internet.
The editor offers countless customization options that go to absurd lengths. There are the usual adjustments that you find in many other games, like facial features, body size, hairstyles, etc.
The catch with the creator is, however, that all these adjustments can be scaled completely independently of each other. This means, for instance, that you can put an extremely large head on a small body or have the character have very muscular legs with a thin upper body. Proportions do not need to be adhered to.

On Reddit and social media, players joke that these characters could easily come straight out of a horror game.

All in all, players are definitely having fun with the first feature of Street Fighter 6 that they can try in the beta. By the end of the test on Monday, we will surely find even more such creations on the internet.
