In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, on January 20, 2023, the big TOTY event is taking place. It brings extremely strong top cards into the game and we will tell you when they will be released.
What is the Team of the Year anyway? The TOTY, which stands for Team of the Year, is all about the best footballers of the past year. EA has nominated 100 players who have shown outstanding performances in the last year and the community had the opportunity to vote for their best eleven.
To the surprise of the fans some players were surprisingly missing, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

When is the TOTY coming? The Team of the Year officially started today, January 20 at 7:00 PM. It begins with the attackers, who can be found in packs for 2 days.
The attacker-TOTY cards with their final stats can be seen below.
The cards will be released staggered in FIFA 23:
- Attackers from January 20 to 21
- Midfielders from January 22 to 23
- Defenders and goalkeeper from January 24 to 25
- From January 26 all cards
- Additionally, TOTY icons will be introduced on January 20
What does the Team of the Year bring?

- FW: Benzema (97)
- CM: De Bruyne
- CB: Militao (94)
- RB: Hakimi (94)
- LB: Hernandez (94)

- CB: Van Dijk (96)
Here is what you can expect: Since the TOTY in FIFA Ultimate Team is always celebrated big, you should expect some content. In addition to the new TOTY cards, there will also be new TOTY icon cards.
You can also expect an additional 12th TOTY card. This was always added to the TOTY a few days after the release of the top eleven in previous years.
What else does the event bring? In recent years, there have generally been SBCs and special tasks related to the TOTY. So there should be special rewards for the TOTY event this year as well. However, we will find out more only at the start of the event.
