Do you want to start planning how your first team in FIFA 23 should look like? Then you can use a FIFA 23 Squad Builder.
What is a FIFA 23 Squad Builder? There are several portals on the internet that provide what’s called a “Squad Builder.” There you can access a currently growing number of Ultimate Team cards – the more ratings come out, the larger the databases will also become.
Good Squad Builders can be found here, for example:
Why should I use a Squad Builder? Basically, it is simply fun to put together some dream teams and experiment around. However, there is another argument this year.
FIFA 23 removes the old chemistry system in FUT and has introduced a new one. There are no direct connections between players anymore, in addition, new chemistry points from 1 to 3 per player are being used instead of the old system. We will show you how the new chemistry system in FIFA 23 works here.
In addition, there are now new alternative positions that you can try out for your players. This system has already been implemented in the Squad Builders. So you can already practice what to expect in the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 23.
How do FIFA 23 Squad Builders work?
Typically, in the Squad Builder, you can choose from one of several formations. Then the entire team is displayed to you as an empty shell.
Now you can select individual players for each position. You have various options – either search directly for the desired name or use parameters like league, position, nation, and similar.
Once you have selected a player, you can either continue searching manually for suitable players or, for example on futbin, use a suggestion feature. On futbin, you can access it through the “light bulb”. It will then suggest suitable players for your current squad.
Now you can just try out a bit.

Here in this example, you can already see a few interesting points. For example, with Mendy and Koundé, only two LaLiga players are completely without direct connection in the team, but both already receive two chemistry points.
Joshua Kimmich in the back right even gets full chemistry – even though he has no suitable player next to him. Additionally, you can see the “alternative” position in action here – because Kimmich is primarily at home in the central midfield. In the RB position, he could not have played without a significant chemistry loss in FIFA 22.
What else makes the Squad Builder useful? If you look at the sidebar of the Squad Builder, you will see an overview of the new chemistry system, where you can clearly see which players lead to which chemistry bonuses.
This is already interesting, but it will also be relevant for the FIFA 23 release, when considering solutions for SBCs with the Squad Builder. Then you can plan there and directly obtain the necessary players in the FIFA 23 Web App.
Moreover, the Squad Builder shows you the rating, the total chemistry, and above all the prices of your players. Currently, the latter still plays no role – but as soon as FIFA 23 is released, you will be able to see directly in the Squad Builder what your dream players cost.
Which players do you want to see in your first team in FIFA 23? More and more ratings are appearing, introducing new options. However, it also stands out: Some players could become useless in FIFA 23 despite high ratings.
