In FIFA 23 the servers are currently unavailable. What EA says about the maintenance work and when it will continue, we summarize here.
What is the server status in FIFA 23? Anyone logging into FIFA 23 right now receives the message that they cannot currently access the servers.
It says: “Unfortunately, the EA servers seem to be unavailable at the moment. We are working on the problem. Please try again later.”
Online games are currently not possible. The Companion App and the Web App are not affected at this time.
However, EA has already commented on the issue and explained when it will continue.
Maintenance work on the FIFA 23 servers is expected to end at noon
This is what EA says about the server downtime: Through the Direct Communication channel on Twitter, EA announced that maintenance work is currently being carried out on the server.
This started at 08:00 in the morning and is expected to end at 13:00.
Already half an hour earlier, matchmaking was disabled. This affects not only FIFA 23 but all titles from FIFA 18 to 23.
Starting at 13:00 the game should be running again. If new information becomes available, we will keep you updated at this point.
How can I play FIFA 23 right now? It is still possible to play career mode and for example sign some of the best talents in FIFA 23. The career mode runs without an internet connection and is therefore not affected.
Additionally, kick-off matches against friends in couch co-op or against AI are still possible. However, if you want to play FUT at the moment, you can only use the Companion App and Web App. Here you can manage your club, sign or sell players, complete SBCs, and collect rewards from objectives.
The season in FIFA 23 is slowly coming to an end, and the first details about the successor are becoming known – which will not be called FIFA 24. All previously known information about EA Sports FC can be found here.
