In FIFA 23 you can now claim the Prime Gaming Pack 8. But don’t be fooled by the opening animation – some players experienced that.
What is Prime Gaming Pack 8? Prime Gaming and FIFA 23 have had a partnership for a while. Players with a Prime account can regularly claim these packs, which typically contain a few player cards and consumables for Ultimate Team.
The latest pack is now available and can be claimed for almost a month: It will no longer be available after June 19.
How to claim Prime Gaming Pack 8:
- Go to the loot section of Prime Gaming, using this link (via Prime Gaming / Amazon).
- Navigate to the FIFA 23 section.
- Select the pack.
- Connect your Prime account with your EA account when prompted.
- Click on the “Redeem” button.
Now the pack will be credited to you, so you can claim it either directly in the game, in the web app, or in the companion app. You should receive a corresponding message in the menu that the pack has been redeemed. You can find the pack under “My Packs” in the shop section.
Players see Icon Confetti with Prime Gaming Pack but get too excited too soon
What happened? Some players who have already claimed the pack report that they were kind of tricked by it. Because some who opened the pack in the web app or companion app saw the familiar “Icon Confetti” that appears when opening the pack and a legend is included.
Of course, the joy was short-lived – until they realized that it was just a loan card for a few games.
- “Damn, I opened it in the app and didn’t read the pack description. I was excited to see the flair for an icon, but it was just Prime Lampard for a 10-game loan,” writes one user (via reddit).
- “Same,” writes another (via reddit) with a laughing emoji afterwards: “The biggest excitement I’ve had in this game in a long time.”
- “Did they really just trick me with a loan icon animation?” asks another (via reddit).
Another describes how he was happy about Prime Ronaldo, only to find out it was a loan card – some users were probably briefly surprised. Others also report that they were lucky with the pack, receiving a TOTS card from the LaLiga team, for example.
Because not only the icon loan card is included in the pack.
What’s in Prime Gaming Pack 8? The pack contains:
- 7 Rare Players (Gold)
- 2 Player Choices with 82+ Overall Rating
- 12 Rare Consumables
- One Prime Icon Loan Player for 10 games
Depending on how much luck you have, you can still pull some useful cards from the pack – or at least fodder for the next Squad Building Challenge.
