In FIFA 23 the “Path to Glory” event for Ultimate Team has been released. We show you what you can expect in the event.
Update, November 11, 19:00: The event has now started. EA released the heroes team via Twitter, which is now available in FUT.
Additionally, the “Path to Glory” team has also been released:
Both teams are “Team 1” – so more will come.
What is Path to Glory in FIFA 23? The “Path to Glory” event has been seen before in FIFA, for example in FIFA 18. It revolves around the players participating in this year’s Football World Cup.
This year there are also World Cup contents in FIFA 23 and even in Ultimate Team, the tournament will be noticeable – for example through the new PTG event.
When does Path to Glory start? The event started on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 19:00. Since then, new special cards have been in the packs of FIFA 23. However, it should be noted that the chance of getting special cards from packs in FIFA 23 is low.
What does Path to Glory bring? The event brings various player cards related to the World Cup. They will receive unusual upgrades depending on how their national team performs in the tournament.
What upgrades does Path to Glory bring in FIFA 23?
How the event works: As usual, the special cards receive a stats upgrade in FIFA 23 when they enter the packs. But it doesn’t stop there: they are dynamic cards that can receive better stats depending on performance.
However, this is not limited to the typical stats on the card, as in other events, but also affects further attributes of the players.
- If a team survives the group stage, the player receives an upgrade
- After the first knockout round, there is another upgrade
- Winners in the quarter-finals receive 5 stars on their weak foot
- Winners in the semi-finals get 5-star skills
- The final winner receives another stats upgrade and three new player attributes
Additionally, there is also a swap event in Ultimate Team where you can earn tokens that can be redeemed for rewards.
Overall, the new cards come with rather unusual upgrades compared to other events. Accordingly, they are also quite expensive on the transfer market.
While the PTG players cost a lot of coins, many cards in Ultimate Team are currently becoming cheaper. A market crash in Ultimate Team caused many prices to plummet.
