Those looking for a FIFA 23 demo won’t find one at the moment, and there’s no expectation of a trial version. How can you play FIFA 23 before the official release?
Where is the FIFA 23 demo? For years, players were accustomed to a free demo being released for FIFA before the game itself came out. Players could previously play early matches, test selected teams, and get a feel for the new features of the game.
However, in 2020 EA broke this tradition and didn’t release a demo version for FIFA 21. The following year, there was no demo for FIFA 22 either.
Accordingly, there is no longer any expectation of a demo before the release of FIFA 23. Those who wish to test the game beforehand will have to look for other options, which usually come at a cost.
How to play FIFA 23 before release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC?
As of now, there are only a few ways to access FIFA 23 before the release.
The first of these was the beta phases for FIFA 23, which have now ended. So, that option is no longer available.
Current options are:
The 10-Hour Trial for FIFA 23
Early Access via EA Play: If you have an EA Play membership, you can access a trial version of FIFA 23, which will also be unlocked on September 27. However, this is limited to 10 hours.
EA Play currently costs €3.99 per month, or €24.99 per year. An advantage for players with Xbox Game Pass: EA Play is already included.
Complete Early Access to FIFA 23
The FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition: The official release date of FIFA 23 is September 30. However, if you pre-order the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23, you can start playing as early as September 27, three days before the launch.
Keep in mind that this version is more expensive than the standard edition, depending on the platform. However, it also comes with a few other advantages. Whether it’s worth it for you can be seen in the comparison of the FIFA 23 editions.
Early Access via EA Play Pro: EA Play Pro currently costs €14.99 per month or €99.99 per year and gives you access to numerous EA titles. The Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 is also included. If you have EA Play Pro, you can use this version starting September 27 – without a time limit.
These are the current options to play FIFA 23 before the official release date. You can also use the web app.
What about the web app? In the web app, you can only access some features of Ultimate Team. These include the transfer market, team management, SBCs, and other content. However, the web app does not provide real football gameplay.
If you are a returning player with a FUT account, you can start using the web app on September 21. You can find out everything about the FIFA 23 web app launch here.
