In FIFA 22 FUT Champions and the Weekend League have been restructured. We show the FUT Champions Rewards, everything about qualification in Season 3, and when the Weekend League starts.
What is FUT Champions? FUT Champions is the mode in Ultimate Team that gives players the best rewards. However, you must first qualify to participate.
In the past, FUT Champions only took place in the form of the “Weekend League”, which always occurred on the weekend. In FIFA 22 it runs a bit differently, and the schedules are changing.

FUT Champions Qualification – How to get into the Weekend League
These are the Play-Offs: Instead of complete concentration on the weekend, there are now also “Champions Play-Offs” that take place during the week. You can qualify for them by playing Division Rivals and collecting 1,250 qualification points.
In the Play-Offs, you must climb the so-called “Ladder” to qualify for the “Finals”. However, there are already rewards in the Play-Offs that you can secure – whether you reach the Finals or not. You need 20 points from 10 games – so 4 wins and 4 losses are enough to get to the Finals.
The Champions Finals take place every weekend – they are therefore the new version of the Weekend League. If you have earned access, you can freely use it for the weekend that suits you best.
This is how the Weekend League works in FIFA 22 – Finals on weekends
When does the Weekend League run? The Weekend League starts every Friday at 09:00 AM and ends on Monday at 09:00 AM.
This is how you get rewards: If you made it into the Weekend League, you must play up to 20 games there. Depending on how many points you collect, you will also receive rewards.
This year, however, there are not only points for wins. Losses can also earn you points. Currently, the system looks like this:
- Wins bring 4 points
- Losses bring one point
Changes for Season 3: In Season 3 of FIFA 22, some changes including new ranks and rewards have been added. We will show you those here.
When do rewards come? Here there is a new feature: You will receive your FUT Champions rewards as soon as you have completed your 20 games. Alternatively, you will get them as soon as the respective competition is over. You no longer have to wait until the following Thursday.
Qualification for the FIFA 22 Weekend League
This is what you need to do: If you have successfully qualified for the Play-Offs through Division Rivals, you can play for entry into the Finals there.
Here you must play a total of 9 matches, with which you can receive rewards and a FUT Champions Finals Token. You can then use this token for the Weekend League.
To get it, you need a total of 24 points. It also applies here:
- A win brings 4 points
- A loss brings one point
Accordingly, one would qualify for the Weekend League with, for example, 5 wins and 4 losses.

How many points do you need in the Weekend League: To reach the different ranks, you need to achieve the following score markers:
- Rank 10: 4 points
- Rank 9: 12 points
- Rank 8: 24 points
- Rank 7: 36 points
- Rank 6: 45 points
- Rank 5: 51 points
- Rank 4: 60 points
- Rank 3: 67 points
- Rank 2: 72 points
- Rank 1: 76 points
Even with a few wins, you can get a lot out of it, as losses also bring points. This especially leads to players intentionally losing in the Weekend League in FIFA 22.
