The TOTW 16 in FIFA 22 is now available. However, while there are some decent cards for the Premier League, a certain multiple-time world footballer is sorely missed.
What is the TOTW? In the “Team of the Week,” the best players from real football are given improved cards each week if they have stood out with particularly good performances. Then there is the black Inform card, which not only has better stats but can typically fetch a few more coins on the transfer market.
Additionally, special cards, such as the OTW cards, can receive an upgrade with the TOTW.
When does TOTW 16 come out? The current Team of the Week, TOTW 16, is now available in the packs of FIFA 22. It replaced the last TOTW cards on Wednesday, January 5th at 7:00 PM and will be available for one week.
The red picks from the Weekend League rewards will also contain the cards from TOTW 16 this week.

TOTW 16 comes without Cristiano Ronaldo, but with Kanté
Who is in TOTW 16? The current Team of the Week mainly features cards from the English Premier League and LaLiga, likely due to the winter breaks of many other leagues. The top card in TOTW 16 is N’golo Kante with an overall rating of 92.
He is likely the main prize for anyone hoping for strong cards from packs – Kanté is one of the best midfielders that you can put in FIFA 22. This is especially true for his second Inform card.

Which card is missing? In the predictions for TOTW 16, one name appeared quite often: Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United. Especially considering his OTW card, which improves with each TOTW card, many players had been hoping for the Portuguese – also because there were generally few players available this week. Yet the first Inform card for Ronaldo in FIFA 22 is still missing.
While there are some decent cards for the Premier League in the new TOTW – at least the Featured Card for Sanchez doesn’t look bad, and you can do something with Foden. But a real top card is really only Kanté. A TOTW-Ronaldo could have definitely added some star power.
Recently, top cards in the FIFA community have not been very popular – at least not if they are on the opposing team. Just recently, there was a big discussion about whether some cards in FIFA 22 could simply be targeted for tackling.
