Update, November 9, 2021: You can now download the new patch for consoles as well, after it was previously only available on PC. For PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, the patch generally appears a few days later. This was also the case with the last update.

What changes with Title Update 3 in FIFA 22 – Patch Notes
Changes in Gameplay: This time, the update is not quite as extensive, but there are still some points that are to be improved. Among other things, problems will be resolved:
- According to the patch notes, there was a situation where defenders could follow players with “Player Lock.” This led to the defense possibly going too far into their own half.
- This problem had been mentioned by players several times – but without the connection to “Player Lock.” Whether the problem is now completely solved remains to be seen.
- There will be adjustments to the referees. They could wrongly decide “no foul” when a goalkeeper took out the player with the ball. This has been fixed. Additionally, the referees could whistle for advantage situations that you intended to carry on.
- There were stability issues in the second half that are also to be corrected.
- Goalkeepers could jump too far forward when diving for a ball.
- Furthermore, in rare situations, the ball could be moved during a free kick without the game continuing for both sides. Tips for free kicks can be found here.
What changes in the modes: In the “Career” and “Volta” modes, there are a few changes. Ultimate Team doesn’t have any changes this time.

Career Mode
- If you switch clubs in player career with a rating over 86, you will immediately land in the starting lineup.
- Progress in career mode could be lost between game sessions, depending on how the mode was exited.
- When exiting career mode, the pop-up window for saving has been updated to show “Save and Exit” as the first option, allowing players to select their save manually.
Volta
- In Volta, two new games will be added to the “Volta Arcade” mode. However, EA has not yet revealed what they are about. They will only be available after a server update.
- A shortcut has also been added to delete all skill points used in the skill tree.
- A sound signal now indicates when someone new takes the lead in Volta Arcade.
- Bugs have been fixed.
