A whole new array of FUT Heroes has been announced for FIFA 22. We show you what players these are.
What are FUT Heroes? The new FUT Heroes are a new type of special card. They are players who are very similar to the “Icons”: they receive strong cards for performances from the past, with which they became fan favorites.
The special thing about these cards is that, unlike the Icons, each is assigned to a specific league. A FUT Hero from the Bundesliga will then have a green chemistry link to players from that league in Ultimate Team. In addition, there are the usual links to players of the same nationality.
Here you can find an overview of all FUT Heroes in FIFA 22.
In the last few days, several new FUT Heroes have been announced. We show them to you here.
Here are the 7 new FUT Heroes
So far, several new names have been revealed, but hardly any stats of the upcoming FUT Heroes are known. Who is included?
Antonio Di Natale
With Di Natale, a true fan favorite from old times can be seen back on the field in FIFA 22. The Italian forward was considered an extremely strong card in FUT, especially in FIFA 13, and instilled fear and terror in his opponents.
In real life, the forward looks back on an exciting career. Among other things, he played 445 matches in Serie A, scored 209 goals, and assisted 57 more. He spent the majority of his career at Udinese Calcio, hunting for goals for 12 years. Accordingly, his card is assigned a value of 88 in Serie A.
Jürgen Kohler
After BVB already acquired a FUT Hero in Lars Ricken, Jürgen Kohler will be the second Dortmund card in the Heroes roster. His card will have an overall value of 89, which should make it quite interesting.
Kohler played for Dortmund between 1995 and 2002, having previously played for clubs like Juventus Turin, FC Bayern, and 1. FC Köln. He was known as a highly competitive defender, which earned him the nickname “Football God.”
Among other things, he was a Champions League winner, three-time German champion (twice with Dortmund, once with Bayern), and also a Serie A champion. He was also part of the German World Cup team in 1990.
Iván Córdoba
Iván Córdoba also left a lasting impression in Serie A and won the Champions League with Inter Milan. In addition, he claimed five championships and four cup victories.
Córdoba played in the Milan defense from 2000 to 2012, and later became team manager at Inter. Now you can use his 87-rated card to solidify your defense.
Freddie Ljungberg
When thinking of Swedish football players, the mind usually first goes to Zlatan Ibrahimović. However, he is not the only one that Sweden has produced in recent years. Players like Freddie Ljungberg have also made headlines.
Ljungberg was on the move at Arsenal for a long time, playing there from 1998 to 2007. Among other things, he was part of the championship team of 2004 that went unbeaten and went down in history as the “Invincibles.” In FIFA 22, his card will be equipped with 86.
Clint Dempsey
Dempsey’s Hero card was introduced with a short video that we will embed here. The American is associated with MLS and has an 85-rated card, equipped with solid values in all offensive areas.
The forward scored 72 goals and provided 35 assists in MLS over 186 matches. But Dempsey also accumulated many scoring points in the Premier League, having played for Tottenham, among others.
Jerzy Dudek
With Jerzy Dudek, you get an interesting goalkeeper option for your Premier League teams in FIFA 22. The Polish keeper will be equipped with an 86-rated card.
Most of his career was spent at Liverpool FC. There he won the Champions League in the 2005/2006 season and had a significant contribution to the final victory: First, he made strong saves to send the match against AC Milan into penalties. He then saved two attempts.
Let’s just hope that he will also be a reliable support in FIFA 22. But generally, the goalkeepers in FIFA 22 look quite strong.
Aleksandr Mostovoi
If you are looking for an exciting player for the offensive midfield, Aleksandr Mostovoi could be the right choice. The former national player of Russia orchestrated the offensive play of the Spanish club Celta Vigo for years. He stayed there from 1998 to 2004, then moved to Deportivo Alavés, but played only one match there. Shortly thereafter, he ended his career.
In La Liga, he accumulated 235 appearances throughout his career, contributing 54 goals and 11 assists. In FIFA 22, he will be equipped with an 86-rated card.
It’s a little while until FIFA 22 is released. But more and more information about the new installment is gradually becoming known. You can find all about the FIFA 22 release on October 1 here.
