In FIFA 22 Season 2 has begun. However, players in Ultimate Team are reporting issues with the Weekend League qualification for this weekend.
Update, 1:00 PM: In a series of tweets, EA states that the issues have apparently now been resolved – at least mostly. Accordingly, players who log in for the first time now should not have any problems.
Those who had already logged in and missed access to the finals (i.e., the Weekend League) should have it now.
For players who had qualified for the Play-Offs, access should also be granted. However, it appears that EA is still identifying the affected players to unlock access. So it may take some time.

What is the problem? At 9:00 AM on Thursday, Season 2 in FIFA 22 started. In the lead-up, EA announced how the Weekend League qualification would behave.
- The points from FUT Champions that you have accumulated so far should be carried over.
- The same applies to FUT Champions qualification tokens – that is, the access already earned for the Weekend League.
- The completed matches in the FUT Champions Play-Offs should be reset if you were not done yet. This has also been implemented.
Now, however, players are reporting some issues.
- Players report that they are back to 0 FUT Champions points, even though they had some left.
- On the other hand, players report that their previously achieved FUT Champions qualifications are no longer present (via reddit).
Are there already solutions for the Weekend League issues? This is what EA says
EA reports: Through the “Direct Communication Channel” on Twitter, EA announced that they are investigating the reports from players who noted that their FUT Champions points and Play-Off access were not carried over.
What is still missing is the issue of the apparently deleted finals tokens. However, there is a possible solution approach from the community.
Previously achieved FUT Champions finals: EA has not yet officially commented on the apparent disappearance of already achieved FUT Champions finals tokens.
However, the content creator “The FIFA Analyst” noted that in FUT Champions, pressing R1/RB shows that you are still qualified.
It is possible that this is just a visual error and qualification still holds.
