In FIFA 22 no event has been announced for this evening yet. However, it is possible that some content may appear in FUT – at least that’s what leakers say.
What is going on in FIFA 22 right now? The FUT Fantasy Event is currently ongoing in FIFA 22, with its second team still in packs. Additionally, RTTF cards are also still in the packs, which were recently added as a mini-release.
However, both card groups will disappear from the packs tonight at 7:00 PM.
Normally, they would now be replaced by other event cards. Because a Friday without a new promo in FIFA 22 has become quite rare.
However, if you take a look in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, there is no loading screen announcing a new event or any promo cards for this evening. Even with the leaks that have been very accurate lately, there are currently no hints on promo teams.
Nevertheless, there could be some kind of event tonight.
Leaks mention SBCs and heroes in FIFA 22
What do the leaks say? The Twitter account “Fut Sheriff” has made a name for itself regarding leaks in FIFA 22. Fut Sheriff currently knows nothing about a promo team – but about other content.

Among other things, several Showdown SBCs are said to be making their way to Ultimate Team soon. They are known from the past: Here, two players are selected whose teams will soon play against each other in real life. The winning card then gets a significant boost to its stats.
Fut Sheriff mentions, for example, an SBC between Barcelona and Sevilla, or also Villarreal against Bayern (via Twitter).
Furthermore, FUT Sheriff mentions that new card variants will be introduced: FUT Hero Captain and FUT Captain.
This could be, among other things, upgraded versions of the current FUT Heroes – but this is pure speculation.
Whether, when, and in what form these contents will find their way to FUT is currently also completely open. These are leaks, not official information.
FUT Heroes are known players from the past who have not quite reached the Icon status. They were very popular at the start in FIFA 22 but have since been overtaken by other cards. A new version could make them interesting again.
