In FIFA 22, the new Title Update 7 has been announced. However, it seems quite small and brings hardly any new content or changes.
When is the update coming? Title Update 7 was announced on March 8th via Twitter. You can download it now for the PC version of FIFA 22 (via Twitter).
On consoles, players will likely have to wait for the new update. It usually takes a few days or even a week for new Title Updates to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Overall, the update isn’t very large either. The patch notes only list a few changes that will be implemented with Update 7 in FIFA 22.
What’s included in the new Title Update 7 for FIFA 22?
This is what the new update brings: The patch notes are extremely concise. Only three points made it onto the list:
- A new animation for the skill move “Heel Chop” has been added.
- Some player portraits have been updated. Which ones, however, are not yet known.
- And a bug has been fixed where “EA Trax Audio” was playing over the sound of EATV videos, even when the video was viewed in fullscreen.
Currently, no further changes are planned. Neither the gameplay nor other aspects of the game will be adjusted with Title Update 7. Accordingly, players are surprised that this is even classified as a Title Update.
This is what players are saying: On Twitter, the first reactions to the update seem rather puzzled. Normally, the patch notes for Title Updates in FIFA 22 are quite extensive and address things like gameplay changes, new content, and more. User “Mitch” simply commented on the new patch notes with “Is that it?” (via Twitter).
Other players commented that they wished for better passing accuracy or bug fixes. Especially considering the new feature of “Live Tuning Updates” in FIFA 22, which allows for smaller adjustments, players are wondering why a Title Update was released for these changes.
“Why is this even an update,” asks user ‘Gurps’, “what happened to Live Tuning Updates? This doesn’t need to be classified as a Title Update” (via Twitter).
