The new “Ice” team in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team represents the second part of the Versus event. In the team, we see familiar faces – what are the differences compared to the “Fire” team?
What kind of event is this? The “Versus” event started on Friday with the “Fire” team, which brought various cards with different value boosts. Today, on Monday, December 13, this team is replaced by the “Ice” team. As of 7 PM, the new cards will be in the packs of FIFA 22.
However, keep in mind: The chance of strong special cards in packs is quite low.
What makes it special: The unusual aspect of the event is that it involves the same players who receive a special card. Gabriel Jesus, Rashford, Valverde – all the players from the “Fire” team are also present in the “Ice” team.
However, the cards differ in detail. Certain values are increased while others decrease.

Versus “Ice” – How the cards differ from Team “Fire”

- ST: Gabriel Jesus (89) – 89 Pace instead of 93, but 91 Shot instead of 87
- LM: Rashford (88) – 87 Dribbling instead of 90, but 83 Physical instead of 80
- ZM: Valverde (87) – 80 Defensive instead of 84, but 86 Passing instead of 82
- IV: Koundé (87) – 76 Dribbling instead of 82, but 85 Physical instead of 80
- RF: Adama Traoré (86) – 76 Passing instead of 86, but 83 Shot instead of 75
- ST: Correa (86) – 86 Shot instead of 89, but 91 Pace instead of
- IV: Gomez (86) – 82 Physical instead of 84, but 89 Defensive instead of 87
- ZM: Pereyra (85) – 79 Shot instead of 83, but 77 Defensive instead of 73
- LV: Schulz (85) – 78 Passing instead of 84, but 85 Dribbling instead of 79

To notice the differences, one must take a rather detailed look. Whether we can really speak of “different player types” is questionable – after all, the value changes for some players are greater than for others.
An example: The Rashford card brings slightly more physicality than dribbling but is still very comparable to the old card. A bit more interesting is the change for Traoré, who receives better shot values instead of passing values, becoming more of a forward than a creator.

What else is in the event? So far, the Versus event has provided, among other things, new Icon SBCs and special cards in the Weekly Objectives. It is possible that further special goals and Squad Building Challenges are hidden in the rest of the event week. For now, it’s a matter of waiting.
