In FIFA 22, it is somewhat more difficult to score goals. YouTuber BorasLegend has therefore presented some useful tricks to help you win your matches better.
Who is this? BorasLegend is a well-known FIFA professional and has been giving tips and tricks for years on how you can improve in FIFA.
The YouTuber has released several videos on FIFA 22, primarily showing tricks for better passes. Here we present a total of 6 tools to break through your opponents’ defense in FIFA 22, allowing you to score better goals.
Lofted Through Ball
This is how the trick works: You just have to hold L1 (LB) and tap Triangle (Y) twice to execute a high through ball. BorasLegend refers to this passing variant as one of the most effective ways to bypass the opponent’s defense.
Of course, you need to pay attention to several factors:
- The timing of the pass must be correct
- The position of your targeted player must also be ideal.
- In a fast forward motion, the player should be just before the offside line when you make the pass.
With this pass, you can break through impenetrable defensive lines and send your player towards the opponent’s goal. It is simple, but effective.
Drive Cross
This is how the trick works: Hold R1 (RB) and press Square (X), then you can execute a drive cross. This offers several advantages. On the one hand, it is very precise, and on the other hand, powerful.
You can play this cross diagonally across half the field. However, you must ensure that there are no opposing players in the passing path who could intercept the ball.
If you have free passage and want to quickly switch the play, this variant is extremely useful and can serve as a can opener for new opportunities.
High Lob/High Cross
This is how the trick works: This variant is basically the counterpart to the driven low pass. In this case, you need to hold L1 (LB) and press Square (X).
This ball is played high but arrives at the target similarly strongly and precisely as the low pass. Thus, you can use it when you want to bridge several players and still push forward.
This variant is also suitable when your player in possession of the ball is under pressure and you want to free yourself. The pass is also very practical for switching sides.
Lofted Pass
This is how the trick works: This small but fine passing variant can be very useful in and around the opponent’s penalty area. You use the lofted pass by tapping X (A) twice.
Instead of playing a regular pass, you loft the ball over a short distance to your next player. This way, you can bypass opponents in tight spaces and create shooting opportunities.
Curled Low Pass with Direct Pass
This is how the trick works: This is a combination of the curled low pass (R1/RB + Pass) followed by a direct pass.
You play a curled low pass, and the receiver then plays the ball forward directly with a pass. If you hold L1/RB beforehand, you can send your player forward and play the direct pass right back to him.
This way, you can bring tempo to your offensive play and create goal-scoring opportunities through combinations. You can watch all these tricks and in-game examples in the video by BorasGaming:
Feint Shot – The Most Useful Skill Move?
This is how the trick works: One of the most useful offensive skill moves is Shot Cancelling or the feint shot. BorasLegend even suggests that this might be the best skill move in FIFA 22.
To feint a shot, you first need to start the shot with Circle (B), but before the shot is taken, hold L2 + R2 (LT + RT) and push the desired direction using the stick to cancel the shot just beforehand.
This takes a bit of practice and quick finger work, but it is well worth it. You can execute unpredictable movements that make you difficult to read in the offense.
This way, you can easily weave past opponents or suddenly change direction. When used correctly, this opens up numerous scoring opportunities, as BorasLegend presents in another video. (via YouTube)
