In FIFA 22, Season 2 in FUT starts tomorrow. This also affects the FUT Champions Play-Offs – especially if you are right in the middle of it.
When does Season 2 in Ultimate Team start? The new Season 2 in FUT starts on Thursday, November 11, at 09:00 AM. Until then, you still have time to collect wins for milestone rewards or earn XP for seasonal progress. But: You should also keep an eye on your FUT Champions Play-Offs.
This is what is important in the Play-Offs: As the developers explained in a short video about Season 2, progress in the current FUT Champions Play-Offs will be reset as soon as the new season starts. Literally, it says:
If you are in an incomplete Play-Off when Season 1 ends, your progress will be reset to 0 matches played. You remain in the Play-Offs, but you have to restart and replay all your games.

If you are now in the FUT Champions Play-Offs or plan to start one before the end of the season but want to ensure that you get all the rewards you have earned up to that point: Make sure to complete all your games before the end of Season 1 or use the option to end your Play-Offs early, so you can claim all the rewards you have earned up to that point.
What does this mean for players in the FUT Champions Play-Offs?
You should note: Let’s say you want to register for the upcoming Weekend League, you have already collected 4 wins in the Play-Offs for that and are close to qualification.
In that case, you should urgently collect the remaining points needed for qualification today or at the latest by around 08:50 AM on Thursday. Otherwise, your collected wins will be in vain.
Everything after 09:00 AM on Thursday is too late.
On the other hand: If you can already foresee that your currently started FUT Champions Play-Offs will not be enough to get into the Weekend League, it might be worth simply waiting for the season to start. Then you should be reset to 0 and can try again.
If you want to start a Play-Off round today that you haven’t redeemed yet: Think carefully about whether you can find the time to complete all required games before the start of Season 2. Otherwise, it might be better to start tomorrow after the reset.
