In FIFA 22, players had to wait several days for the Player Picks from their Weekend League Rewards. Now the issue seems to be finally resolved.
Player Picks are finally here: Those who battled through the Weekend League over the weekend could look forward to a new feature: Instead of waiting until the next Thursday, the Rewards were available immediately after the completion of their games.
However, those who claimed the Rewards might encounter a problem: The Player Picks, meaning the red FUT Champions versions of current TOTW cards, were missing.
Over the weekend, EA Sports repeatedly announced that they were working on the issue and affected players would receive the missing Picks. This should now be the case since Tuesday morning, October 12.
According to the Direct Communication channel, affected players should now have received a message in the game and also have access to the corrected FUT-Champs items. Players are also reporting in the FIFA subreddit that they are now receiving their Picks (via reddit).
If you have been missing your Player Picks, you should now check FUT and grab your Picks.
Players sold red Player Picks on the transfer market
Why were the Player Picks missing? The original issue with the rewards occurred on Friday, October 8. Here, the first players were already completing their Weekend League and could grab their rewards including the Player Picks.
However, these red cards were tradeable, unlike in the past, and could thus be sold on the transfer market. This apparently was not intended. Therefore, EA Sports temporarily disabled the Picks to correct the issue.
This should now have happened. Hence, one shouldn’t expect to make any profit with the Player Picks on the transfer market.
