The errors in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team are piling up, and now players are receiving a card that shouldn’t actually exist yet. We explain what has happened.
Tonight, the new Fantasy FUT Event starts in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team and currently, neither the concept nor the new special cards are known. Officially, we only know that the event starts at 7:00 PM and that there will be new Fantasy FUT special cards.
However, one of the new special cards is already appearing in the clubs of numerous FUT players – the new Fantasy FUT card of Christian Eriksen.
Why are players getting this card? Since early this morning, reports from FUT players (via reddit) have been piling up that they unexpectedly find a new Eriksen special card in their clubs. Some players even report owning multiple copies of the new Fantasy FUT card.
However, why the error occurs is not known, but it seems that all gold cards of Eriksen have been accidentally replaced by the new special card. It seems irrelevant whether Gold Eriksen is in a FUT club or in packs, all Eriksen cards are suddenly 90 overall special cards.
Can the card be sold? Some FUT players report being able to place the card with a maximum price of 0 coins on the transfer market, which of course is not a worthwhile option.
How strong is the new “free card” of Christian Eriksen
What the new card can do: The new Eriksen card is an extremely strong upgrade compared to his 82 gold card. The Fantasy FUT card has a high rating of 90 and impresses with very high pace and excellent shooting, passing, and outstanding dribbling stats.
Additionally, the card offers 5-star weak foot and 4-star skill moves, giving the Dane a top card that would normally have cost a fortune.
What will happen now with the card? So far, EA has not commented on the error, and accordingly, we do not know how the studio will deal with the problem. However, it is likely that players will be allowed to keep this free card and that EA will not simply remove it from FUT accounts.
What’s exciting is whether players who previously had no Eriksen in their club will also receive the new special card as a gift.
