In FIFA 22, you can earn the POTM of Serie A with Giovanni Simeone. And the Argentine has a really exciting card – with one drawback.
What kind of card is this? The POTM is the “Player of the Month,” which you can earn in FIFA 22 for various leagues. Every month, this award is given to players from the Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, the Premier League, and also the Italian Serie A.
The latter was released today in FIFA 22. The title was secured by the Argentine Giovanni Simeone, who thus receives his second major upgrade.
- His gold card is actually only a 75. But he received a Featured TOTW card, which boosted him directly to 84.
- The new POTM card adds another upgrade and has an overall value of 87.
How do I get the POTM? You need to complete the current Squad Building Challenge for Simeone. This requires 2 teams from you – an 83-rated and an 84-rated team. It’s not too difficult.
How much is the SBC? Currently, on the portal futbin, the SBC is estimated at around 40,000 coins if you were to buy all players new. However, you can reduce the price by using unused players from your own club if you exchange them.
But is the card worth it?

What makes the card special: Let’s start with the positives, as they outweigh the negatives for this card. Simeone has decent speed, which can be boosted into the high 90s with a Hunter if needed. There are also very good shooting stats, especially when using a Hunter. Positioning, finishing, shot power, and volleys all land in the high 90s. Only long shots are not ideal with him (77).
His passing is not outstanding, where short passes still get an 88. His dribbling stats, on the other hand, are all in the higher 80s and are therefore sufficient. The defense is largely negligible.
But two stats are particularly interesting: Simeone has a 99 in heading accuracy and 99 in jumping ability, additionally, he has the “Power Header” trait. So if you’re looking for a header player, Simeone could be your man.
What is the weakness? Overall, Simeone has everything you need from a Serie A striker – except for the stars for “weak foot” and “skill moves.” He only gets a 3 rating for both.
Many players prefer a 4/4 here, if not a 5. Then a striker is dangerous with both feet or a 5-star skiller who has all the tricks.
Unfortunately, Simeone does not bring this. Nevertheless: If you position Simeone in the right finishing spots, he should still be extremely dangerous. After all, you can also score goals with Erling Haaland from the Bundesliga, who also has only 3/3. And for headers, you don’t need feet anyway.
