FIFA 22 has already seen numerous special events – nearly every week there is one taking place. Currently, for example, the new Winter Wildcards event is running. These promos constantly bring enhanced cards into the game that can improve your teams.
The problem: Many of these cards require a lot of coins. The best cards are hardly affordable.
However, there are also some cards that do not cost excessively many coins and that can be afforded with just a few Division Rivals rewards or Weekend Leagues.
We take a look at 5 such candidates that cost less than 50,000 coins and offer good value for money. We have not looked for specific positions or leagues, but have primarily focused on values and costs.
This is not about the absolute top cards like Mbappé, Neymar, etc., but still about players who can improve many teams. We start with the cheapest card and work our way up.
Marko Arnautovic – Rulebreakers
Price: approx. 13,000 coins
This is what makes Marko Arnautovic special: We start the list with a forward who was introduced before – namely in the overview of strong forwards that are currently very cheap.
Because that is ultimately what Arnautovic is: a damn good striker who is well-positioned in all offensive areas. Equipped with a Hunter card, Arnautovic is fast, has great dribbling, and finishing ability. Accordingly, he is a really good choice for your attack.
So why is he so cheap? This is likely due to the fact that he is not very easy to incorporate into typical meta teams, as chemistry must be considered. But if you play a team based on Serie A, you should think about Arnautovic.
Thomas Delaney – OTW
Price: approx. 25,000 coins
This is what makes Thomas Delaney special: This card is the OTW version of Thomas Delaney, which has received several upgrades due to multiple wins and a TOTW nomination. It now stands at 86 overall – and the stats on the card are extremely balanced.
Highlights are the 87 in physicality and 88 in defense, but the other values are also really good for a central defensive midfielder. With a Shadow style, Delaney has everything you want from a CDM.
The low price is likely due to the combination of Denmark and LaLiga. Because of that, Delaney is not particularly easy to link in hybrid teams. But if you play a LaLiga team, he is a very strong option for little coins.
Jesús Corona – Rulebreakers
Price: approx. 25,500 coins
This is what makes Jesús Corona special: Admittedly: The winger is not particularly easy to incorporate into typical mainstream teams due to being a Mexican player in the Portuguese league. But if you manage to do it, you get an extremely dangerous player for your right side.
Corona has 5 stars in both skills and weak foot. Additionally, he has strong values in dribbling, shooting, and passing. If you equip him with a Hunter style, you get a fast, dribbling striker in Corona who can also pass the ball when needed.
Only in defense will you need a decent defensive player behind him. In that regard, Corona is not well-positioned.
Alexander Isak – Europa League
Price: approx. 43,500 coins
This is what makes Alexander Isak special: Unfortunately, the Europa League card of Alexander Isak cannot receive any further upgrades. But at least the Swede has already secured an upgrade through advancing previously.
The result: A really strong striker card that is well positioned in all offensive areas – especially if you also add an Engine style on top. In addition, Isak is tall, strong in headers, and also has 5 stars on his weak foot and 4 stars in skills.
With Isak, the relatively low price is likely again due to the difficult linking options. In doubt, Isak could also be a strong substitution option.
Nicolò Barella – IF
Price: approx. 45,000 coins
This is what makes Nicolò Barella special: Barella’s first Inform card has just dropped below the 50,000 coin mark – likely also because he received another Inform card rated 87 in TOTW 13.
Previously, his 86 card was in the six-figure range for a long time and was one of the most expensive cards in Serie A. This is likely due to his still strong stats: The 86 player has really high dribbling stats as well as a good combination of physicality, defense, passing, and speed. He also has 97 stamina, which allows him to keep up throughout the whole game.
