Today, on September 22, the first players are starting their Early Access to FIFA 22. However, most players have a 10-hour limit after which the game must be put aside again. If you want to use this time effectively for Ultimate Team, there are a few things to consider.
This is how Early Access works: The Early Access to FIFA 22 starts today for all EA Play members. However, this access is limited to 10 hours. There is an exception for “EA Play Pro” members on PC – they can play unlimited.
However, a large portion of players will likely be confronted with the 10-hour limit. If you want to use it to get ahead in Ultimate Team, here are a few tips on how to use your time effectively.
When does Early Access start? The date is confirmed, but no time yet. The exact start time has not been made official. Current information on the start time of FIFA 22 Early Access can be found here.
1. Completely close FIFA 22 when you are not on the field
What you should keep in mind: If you take a break, grab something to eat, or watch a video on YouTube? Then don’t forget to completely close the game. Not just go to the main menu of your console or minimize windows – but really: quit the game.
The reason is: If the game is running in the background, you risk that this time is deducted from your play minutes. Then you come back from your break and find that your trial ends earlier than expected.
In general, Early Access offers the advantage that you can already be on the field. Through gameplay, you can earn coins that you need for trading. Accordingly, you should try to spend most of the trial effectively in matches.
2. Use the Web App for everything else
What the Web App offers: The FIFA 22 Web App will also launch on the day of Early Access and offers all sorts of features.
- You can manage your team
- Use the transfer market
- Claim rewards for objectives
- Complete SBCs
- Open packs
All these things can, of course, also be done in the FUT menu of the game. However, you will have trial time deducted there that you could also spend on the field. Therefore: Use the Web App for everything that needs to be done in the menu – this way you save time for playing.
Important: Make sure to explicitly log out of Ultimate Team before closing your game. Because: You cannot use the Web App when you are, for example, logged in on the console. If you simply close the game without logging out of FUT, it can take up to 30 minutes for FUT to understand that you are no longer online – and it won’t let you into the Web App.
By the way: This year again, there will be rewards for returners: Packs for players who have been around before. You can of course open them right away – or use them as soon as cards like the first TOTW or the OTW players (‘Ones-to-Watch’) are available. Then you have at least a small chance at strong cards at the start with a lot of luck.
3. Check for rewards in objectives
What you can keep in mind: When Early Access goes live, the first objectives in Ultimate Team should also be available. It could be worth looking for simple objectives, such as those that provide coins for wins in Squad Battles, simple trading objectives – and similar.
Coin boosts can sometimes also be earned through objectives. This is also worthwhile, as you will receive more coins for each game played with them.
Additionally, there should be some special objectives with rewards available during Early Access:
- During the Early Access, there are special live FUT friendlies where you can play for pack rewards.
- An untradeable 80-84 Player Pick and a Team of the Week loan player (10 matches) can be earned through special Early Access objectives.
These contents are likely only available during Early Access and could be worth it. A Ones-to-Watch SBC should also come. But it’s better to complete it via the Web App once it’s available.
Of course, you can also simply use the trial to explore outside of Ultimate Team. After all, the game also offers modes like Career Mode, Volta, or Pro Clubs. All content is available in Early Access.
