3 Tips for Icon Swaps 3 – How to get tokens faster
The tasks in Icon Swaps 3: To earn the Icon Swap tokens, a lot of matches need to be played again, where a total of 9 tokens can be collected by May 23, 2022 (From May 23, 9 more tokens will be added to the game).
The tasks take place as always in Squad Battles, the Weekend League, as well as in FUT friendlies and require you to win a ton of games with cards of certain nationalities or leagues.
And since this can be quite time-consuming and exhausting, it’s worth having a good strategy ready.
1. Plan your Icon Swap 3 journey carefully
Take a close look at the rewards and it’s best to plan which cards and packs you want to earn. For example, if you are on the hunt for George Best for 9 tokens and an Icon Moments Pack (93+) for 8 tokens, you know that you need a total of 17 out of the 18 available tokens.
So you can leave a tough task aside and have fewer FUT matches ahead of you.
Additionally, it is helpful to consider the most sensible combinations. For example, the following options look exciting:
- George Best + Icon Moments Pack (93+) for a total of 17 tokens
- Samuel Eto’o + 85+-x20-Pack + 83+-x25-Pack for a total of 18 tokens
And if you want to collect packs for the upcoming TOTS, it makes sense to get these packs for 11 tokens and open them during the TOTS event:
- 1 Token: 82+-x25-Pack
- 2 Tokens: 83+-x25-Pack
- 3 Tokens: 84+-x25-Pack
- 5 Tokens: 85+-x20-Pack
2. Build a team to complete as many tasks at once as possible
Especially the Squad Battles tasks where you have to complete matches against the AI can quickly become monotonous work. Therefore, it is advisable to aim to complete multiple tasks at once, ideally unlocking 3 tokens with 6 matches.
Therefore, it makes sense to build a team (if possible) consisting of the following cards:
- 11 Silver cards,
- that come from Brazil or England and
- that you own as first owners.
Also, note that for these Squad Battles tasks it’s only about the starting formation. Once the game is underway, you can immediately substitute your top strikers to make the tasks a bit easier.
3. Use Golden Goals in friendlies
Last year, there was an exciting development among FUT players who completed their Icon Swaps tasks in friendlies. Many players, after conceding a goal, immediately left the game, thus giving the opponent the victory. This quickly spread, and friendlies could be completed much faster with this Golden Goal method.
This will be practiced again in this FUT year (via reddit) and players are helping each other with Golden Goals again to earn the friendlies tokens as quickly as possible. So it’s best to join in if you want to earn their tokens quickly. And don’t be too upset if not every player seems to know the “community rule”.
