Strong players can cost quite a few coins in Ultimate Team. Here are some alternatives that are currently inexpensive but still strong in FIFA 21.
What kind of players are these? Building an Ultimate Team with amazing top players is not so easy. After all, the chances of top players in packs are very low, and they cost a lot of coins on the transfer market.
A Robert Lewandowski can easily cost around 200,000 coins on the transfer market. A budget that many players do not have available – especially at the start of the season, even with good trading.
That’s why you’ll find some players here who are inexpensive but can still strengthen your Ultimate Team. We start the list with the cheapest player and gradually increase the value – giving you alternatives for starter budgets of various sizes.
Hwang Hee-Chan – about 850 coins
Leipzig’s striker Hwang is a very inexpensive but useful alternative for Bundesliga teams at the start. The forward is incredibly fast on the field and comes with a weak foot rated at 4 stars. He may not have the highest overall stats, but if you’re missing a speedy attacker, Hwang is a good option.
Xherdan Shaqiri – about 1,000 coins
Shaqiri is a solid card that can add some flair to starter teams. He is one of the 5-star skilled players, but he is also one of the cheaper players on this list, bringing good stats overall. With a few boosts through Chemistry Styles, he can be a really good attacker. However, he is not particularly helpful defensively.
Moussa Diaby – about 1500 coins
Diaby is an ideal player for your left flank in the Bundesliga when you need speed. The Leverkusen player is incredibly fast and is perfect for quick counterattacks. He is also useful in dribbling. He is a player with which the speed boost trick works wonderfully.
Quincy Promes – about 2,200 coins
Quincy Promes is currently seen in the offensive sectors of many FUT clubs. And that’s no surprise: The offensive player is fast and has a strong finish, also shining with 5-star skills. At the start of the season, he was worth over 10,000 coins, but has dropped to around 2,000 coins – making him perfect for starter teams. He also works well as a substitute if he doesn’t directly fit into your squad.
Konrad Laimer – 2,300 coins
Laimer has all the stats you need in central midfield. He can defend and is also active offensively – even if his shots are not the strongest. He has quickly developed into a favorite and saw his price surge significantly at the start of the season. However, he has now dropped back from over 10,000 coins into the 2000 range – making him affordable again.
Oyarzabal – about 4,200 coins
Oyarzabal is a solid option to strengthen your left side. He offers good stats across the board in speed, shooting, passing, and dribbling. Depending on which chemistry style you apply to him, he can support your playing style exactly. For just 4,400 coins, he is an inexpensive option with a high overall rating, and being Spanish also allows for good links. He is ideal for a LaLiga starter team.
Christian Eriksen – about 8,600 coins
Eriksen is an extremely skilled technical player, as seen from his good passing and dribbling stats. He also has 4-star skills and 5 stars on his weak foot. If you increase his speed using a chemistry style (such as Hunter or Engine), you will have an offensive player with good stats in all important areas. He can be a good top player for Serie A teams.
Marco Verratti – about 9,700 coins
The PSG midfielder just falls short of the 10,000 coin threshold but also has a rating of 86. His best stats are in dribbling – a skill that cannot be underestimated in this FIFA. His passing stats are also strong. This means: Verratti is good for controlling and distributing the ball in midfield. Only shooting and speed may need some improvement. Off the field, he is a budget-friendly option for SBCs that require high player ratings.
